TOP DOGS

We wanted to introduce you to our top dogs here at Planet Blue. They run the show at each of our store locations. Each lady tells you a little about herself in their interviews below. We caught up with them as they were leaving a manager meeting last week. Feel free to comment on which store you frequent most often or which manager's outfit matches your personal style?

Name: Roxanne

Store: Westlake

 Wearing: JBrand Jeans, House Of The Gods Tee, Love Child Earrings, Vintage Boots

BIO: I have been working at Planet Blue since last May. I went to school at FIDM, worked for Victorian Hippie and Cynthia Dugan.  I also had my own clothing line called Roxanne Grace.  Currently, I have been designing LoveChild jewelry and feather extensions with another PB employee Laura Stewart. I also frequently do make-up + hair for our lookbooks on the web.  I grew up in Agoura, CA. I'm married, and have 2 lil girls!!!!  I am a coffee and diet coke junkie!!!!

The vibe of your store:  I think our store is the epitome of "Luxury Boho".

If  I'm not at the store: I'm drinking wine and watching my DVR!

Must have for Spring: anything short, cream, or lacy!!!!!

Fun Fact: I love to read Tarot Cards!

Store: Montana Avenue

BIO: I am from San Salvador and moved to LA when I was 9 years old. I have always been a huge fan of the store and wanted to be part of the Planet Blue family. I am so happy to be a part of a company that keeps growing. Planet Blue allows me to meet new people everyday, and that is a nice feeling. I first worked at our venice store but became the manager of  Montana 3 years ago. The part I love most about my store are my co-workers.
The vibe of your store: classic with a twist of bohemian inspiration.
If I'm not at the store: I'm out and about, walking around to stores and checking out window displays for inspiration. I love working out, it helps me stay grounded and happy.
Must have for spring: Blu Moon Babydoll Dress + Current Elliot Bell Jeans.

Store: Venice

Wearing: Modern Vintage Boots, Malene Birger Blazer, Vintage Jumper, Tailfeather Designs Earrings

BIO: I have been with P.B for two years and counting.  This is my ideal place to work because I live and breathe fashion.  I am an L.A native... born and raised. Holla. 

The vibe of my store:  The Venice store, is bohemian chic.  Yah, I know its a cliche, but that's it!  We have a beachy yet sophisticated feel. 

If I'm not in the store: You will find me out with my friends at lunch, shopping, nails, cruising and spending time with the fam or my man. 

Must have for spring: Say you were to ask me... "Hey Jamie,  what are the MUST HAVE's for spring 2011?"  I would tell you... "Flair Jeans, beaded boho sandals, anything lace, high-rise jean shorts, and a classic vintage floral blouse."  Just to name my top 5!

Store: Beverly Hills

BIO: I have been at Planet Blue for 4 years! woahhhh!! growin' old with planet blue!! Before I was a buyer/merchandiser for 2 retail stores. I style for Twelfth Street By Cynthia Vincent and our web photoshoots + lookbooks....anything else peeps wanna know they can go to my blog purse 'n boots!

The vibe of your store: We are super organized and a little modern hippie! still lost of gypsy vibe flowy delights allll over!!!

If I'm not at the store: I'm at home, hangin' with the most adorable dog in the universe---coco!!!!

Must have for spring: That blu moon lace skirt that I wore in our recent lookbook! I'm obsessed with sheer maxi skirts.

Store: Malibu

Wearing: Parker Dress, HeartLoom Vest, Sendra Boots, Natalie B Cuff

BIO: I have been at PB for two years (first managed and bought for the kids store) and I have been managing the women's store for 9 months!  Before Planet Blue, I was an account executive for Juicy Couture and Director of Sales for Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Baby and Girl.

The vibe of your store: My store is the epitome of the Planet Blue vibe--we're very beachy and boho chic.  It's a very relaxed atmosphere with a small town feel--exactly what Malibu is!

If I'm not at the store: I would be at the gym, spending time with my husband, or visiting my family in Seattle!

Must have for spring: Wide Leg Work Denim Jeans, Natalie B Tribal Cuff, and the Blue Life Boardwalk Best Bum.

Name: Laurie

Store: Malibu Essentials

Wearing: Michelle Jonas

BIO: I have been with planet for 14 yrs.. the oldest in age and the longest number of years anyone has worked at Planet Blue! I am the manager and buyer of the essentials store in Malibu. I am definitely a product junky. I love skin care, body scrubs and missoni towels! I grew up in the Valley!! My son is 24 years old and started a company called pura vida bracelets that are doing very well! I live in malibu lake with my husband and our white sharpei. We have 4 children between us!
If I'm not at the store: I would be cooking a great meal.. working out.. doing yoga or gyrotonics, hiking, or pouring wine in a winery!!!  love my wine!
Must have for spring: White flared jeans by Current/Elliott.. with my old  gringo cowboy boots!
