Sun Times layoffs

The knives were out yesterday at the Sun Times, as several staffers were let go, including media columnist Lewis Lazarre. (Robert Feder has the details)

It looks like the Sun-Times will no longer be covering the radio beat at all, but thankfully they still have Paige Wiser on staff as their television writer. Paige is a friend (she's married to my long time friend Jim Wiser), but she also happens to be a very gifted writer. If the Sun-Times gets rid of her, you know they have given up.
